About Judy
Move like yourself. That’s what Judy’s been doing for the great majority of her life. And that’s how she goes about teaching- helping people find the way they move, breathe and give their attention to the world around them. Just as that changes for herself over the years, she helps people adapt the way they move , breath and give attention to the world around them as they change.
Judy has been practicing yoga since the late 90’s and practicing yoga therapy since 2009. After years teaching and practicing yoga, Judy dove into yoga therapy training with Urban Zen Integrative Therapy, Allison West and others. Since then she has been working in hospitals, nursing homes and senior living communities, rehabs and in private practice, helping people with chronic disease, injury and illness as well as continuing to teach yoga for general wellbeing. She utilizes yoga, Reiki, other mindfulness-based practices and essential oil therapy to foster health, healing and wellbeing.
Judy has set up programs for residents in senior living communtities dealing with neurological, psychological and physical issues. She works with cancer patients receiving chemo and radiation as well as before and after treatment.
Off the mat, you can find Judy hanging out with her dogs, chinchilla and other family members and friends, lounging with a good cup of black coffee, listening and dancing to all sorts of music, or flopped on the couch with a good crossword puzzle.
The wound is the place where the light enters you.
